Police in Gimanton are on the lookout after a person posing as a police officer approached a young girl. There is concern it could happen again.
The incident happened Thursday night near Province Road. The victim told police a man wearing a police hat indentified himself as a Gilmanton officer. The man asked the child if they needed a ride, she refused.
The man is described as 16 to 25 years old. He was driving a grey SUV. He may have had black hair, blue eyes, and acne.
Anyone with information about this is asked to call Gilmanton police.
