STOUGHTON, Mass. -- Four students were found inside a car with a pellet gun and bomb-making material Wednesday at a Stoughton middle school, officials said.
NewsCenter 5's Sean Kelly reported that the car was parked at the O'Donnell Middle School at 21 Cushing St. Four students were inside the car. During a search of the vehicle, police said that they found gunpowder and the components to make a bomb.
"Anytime you have a situation like this it's serious. These are not pranks. Kids with the kind of instrumentalities they have is not a prank," Stoughton Police Department Chief Chris Champa said.
Alex Wilson, 17, one of the students found in the car, was placed under arrest. The three other students were questioned.
Fire officials were examining the bomb-making materials that were found in the car and comparing them to materials that were found in other parts of town where small explosions were set.
There were no reports of any injuries.
