To whom it may concern,

I'm an Associate Court Officer for the Trial Court, I have almost 2 years on the job, and am trying to get my foot in the door of a police dept. As I think most people know the trial Court is very politcal, and attempting to make C.O. is nearly impossible I was going to sign up for the POlice exam last year, but Romney signed that lovely "21 years or older" thing and I was unable to take the test. I will be 21 in may and am trying to get on part or full time if my luck is there to an non - civil service dept. If anyone knows of any towns hiring around the Uxbridge area that are non-civil service I would be greatful. I applied for dudley earlier this month for reserve officer. Other than that, I am just paying my dues until i can get on. Any guidance or help with this would be appreciated.

Have you been to a Reserve Academy? You need sponsorship to attend, but you might be able to make the right connection and get hired by a department that is willing to sponsor you. Good luck!!!

Yeah I'm aware of that, if i could sponsor myself i would, other states let you do that....But I am trying with all my might to win over the chief in dudley. I am willing to goto the academy on my own dime, and come on on friday nights or when ever to ride around and get to know the other officers and the town layout. Hoping it works out.
