The fax we received from Deputy Superintendent Thomas Lee, Commander, Special Operations of the Boston Police Department was pretty straight forward. "I am writing to confirm that, after extensive testing and evaluation from our firearms instructors of several different 1911 pistols, the Boston Police Entry & Apprehension Team has committed to transition 70 of our pistols to the slightly modified SIG 1911, .45 ACP, Revolution."
