There's no reason to buy Glock at a retail dealer in MA when you have a Glock distributor in MA. We get our guns from Glock, departments, and our distributor instate for Glock is Interstate Arms. If I'm not buying SIG direct, I get my SIG's from Interstate.

Interstate sells new guns below my dealer wholesale price:
1. Because they do the volume and are a distributor.
2. Because they have guns that are FET out.
Glock NIB, LE 5lb trigger, 3 15 round magazines, Case, Lock, Manual, Cleaning Kit, mag loader. The last local officer that bought one from them got it for $399.
I mean you can walk into my store and pay more for a Glock, but I'm telling you right now...there's no reason to when you can buy direct from the distributor.

You need the equipment, you should get it for the lowest cost possible. I doubt (read: know) there is a retail/LE dealer in MA that can beat Interstate on SIG's and Glocks as we all buy from them, Camfour, Jerry's etc). I know even with my volume on Glock direct I can't beat Interstate...so consider this a freebie. You want gun for LE use, you buy them from Interstate in MA (and most of New England).
Your other options would be Camfour, but they are not really into individual officer sales.
Other option would be Davidson's Law Enforcement but some products they can't sell into our region.

From the old FET discussion:

As a dealer I often get police officers who need a backup gun or are responsible for their own guns (very small departments) and obviously would prefer to get the best price possible. What to do...what to do....

If your department authorizes the purchase it's always good to have an Individual Officer purchase letter for the gun/hi-cap LE Only mags and a FET form on file for the department. By having these two forms your dealer will be able to sell you the gun you need at the lowest price possible as they will purchase the gun from the vendor with no Federal Excise Tax (FET out). Since this gun will be a duty weapon, it is not considered a sporting firearm and there is a 10-11% reduction in price. As well from distributors, we often get a small discount for LE Only guns sold or you as an officer may get extra magazines or a tactical light or special deals on night sights so purchasing an LE specific gun with the right documents may get your "extra" stuff not available to the general public.
NOTE: In MA to purchase many high capacity magazines, these forms are almost mandetory.

That all being said, you may not be able to get the gun that you want that day but you can save yourself a lot of money.

I ordered new Hi-cap glock 22 mags from Interstate arms. I faxed department letterhead and a copy of my ID at 5:00 on friday afternoon and the mags were at my house on Monday morning. Very fast...

I purchased a glock-22 last year to carry for Randolph Auxiliary. I recently got on with Transit and will no longer need the Glock. I will give you a good deal on it, I'm not looking to turn a profit, just want to get rid of it because it is not needed. Glock -22 in like new condition (only fired once to qualify) with 3 magazines ans sissy loader. email me at jabone187@hotmail.com if interested. Im not sure of what paperwork has to be filed for a lawful sale so if you know then great.

You need to do a face to face transaction and file an FA-10 form. One for you, one for the other owner...and one to the state (the address is on it). You may only sell 4 firearmsa year.

SOT_II, am I able to sell a one year old Glock 22 with hi cap mags to a non-leo? Or can it only go to another leo?

The laws with regards to sales of firearms rosters, regulations etc...basically pertain to dealers. There would be an issue with the mags as the mags are not preban...and there is no exception for the sale of mags. No new high capacity mags except for dealers, LE, wholesalers and MFG's.
So the safest bet would be to keep the mags ad give them 10 rounders or what have you.
