CHIEF OF POLICE WINCHENDON, MASSACHUSETTS Winchendon is currently seeking a proven professional for the position of Police Chief. The Chief’s position is non-civil service. The department has 20 full time employees (14 sworn officers and 6 civilian personnel), 5 part time employees (2 sworn officers and 3 civilian personnel) and a budget of $1+ million. The positions requires a four-year college degree and a minimum of 10 years of governmental police experience of which 5 years must have been at the command level, preferably in a comparably sized police agency in a similar community. Labor/management experience and a master’s degree in a public or business administration, criminal justice or related field are preferred.
