The 2006 looks sharp.

I hate the rims! The chrome looks better.

Posted by: tazoez

They almost look like hub-caps.
Curious to know if they are.

Posted by: futureMSP

The new rims/hubcaps, whatever they are, just don't look right on the car.

They are...and have been for quite some time.

They thread onto an external thread on the lugnuts by means of a lugnut caps under the centercap (which is why they look flush, instead of protruding from the wheel). They've been that way since (I think) '03, when they redesigned the suspension and changed the wheels.

hmmm, never seen a crown vic before, could u post some more pics

As opposed to... 22" Giovanni's?

Posted by: Andy0921

Yeah the full wheel covers are alright, the the small chrome thing looks better I think when its all shined up and stuff.

bleh what do you want from a FORD

Posted by: Negaproach

From my understanding Ford is changing the size of the tires on the new CVs. I'm pretty sure their changing them to a 17' with a lower profile sidewall. Supposed to help limit roll while cornering. I know my department is going to have a mixed bag of snow tires/spares till our fleet is completely changed over.

That's what is on the '06.

Posted by: mtc

I've heard them called low profile or semi-marked, but slicktop?

I think I'm starting to feel young again.....

Posted by: tazoez

even if they wanted to make them flush, they should have kept the chrome look. these almost look like they belong on a toddlers "big wheel".

Posted by: dcs2244

Regardless of what wheels you have on your cruiser: you MUST have the same tires at all four corners...all snows, or all "all weather". The reason is that mixing (snows rear, all weather front) wicked messes-up the handling characteristics of the vehicle...different coefficient of friction for different tires.

Please tell me you guys work in Fleet or one of the Troop garages and don't just walk around Boston snapping pictures of cruisers

Posted by: underdog

my God, who really cares what the new state police cruisers look like? Are you guys for real?

Posted by: 1122

Who ever posted the pictures is the biggest whacker/sparky. Get a life!

Posted by: k9sheriff

I'm so exited I'm heading to the Barracks right now to look for myself.I think if your a police officer you'll find my posting I received from a friend far more entertaining.

Leave GMACK alone. He is not a whacker. He is simply a civilian who supports law enforcement. In this day and age that is hard to find.

Maybe once you get a few years under your belt, you'll see what I mean.

Posted by: OciferpeteHPD3500

Hey "underdog" why don't you go sniff some dog ass or go chase your tail. I actually enjoy seeing pictures.

Posted by: Andy0921

I agree.

Posted by: k9sheriff

aside from the sarcasim, you have to admit that they are very sharp looking vehicles.I'm not familiar with alot of state police cruisers color schemes(different states), but it's probably a sure bet that massachusetts has the best looking vehicles.

No, what is hard to understand is why someone would register so they could make an ass out of themselves on their first post.
GMACK has been with this site for 3 years, you've been here 15 minutes. You're in no position to criticize what the members of this site post Jr.

If you dont like what is discussed (like cruisers on a pro-police website), theres the door; and dont let it hit you in the ass on the way out...

=D> Damn straight you leave Greg alone.

Thanks for standing up for me guys.

I have taken police car photos for several years now and will continue to do so.

and yes I am a huge supporter of the Law Enforcement community.
Why else would I be here :- D ?
Carry on.
I just let these comments roll off my back. These few are probably just members of the GMACK Fan club. There are a few out there that do not care for me and hey that's cool. I could care less.
Again Carry on.
and Stay Safe

Posted by: tazoez

Honestly, im happen that you did take them and post them GMACK. Most of the troopers that I know have 98s so I havent seen what the new ones looked like until now. Also IMHO, I like the new lightbars that the cruisers have. Nice and bright so they can be seen a mile away it seems.

Posted by: underdog

Maybe you can post pictures of all the different types of handcuffs next. Please

Let me guess about you, underdog: convenience store clerk in the budding metropolis of Magnolia? Moonie from Gloucester? Bolshevik from Marblehead?

I know a lot of great cops from small departments and from various colleges. They have much more "on-the-ball" than you apparently do.

Perhaps Gil should change your handle to "underwear" since any reference to dogs is far to good for you.

Go get your Detex clock...it's time for a round.

I'm guessing that didn't come out the way you wanted it to. If it did then you must be really flexable.

It all started with some pictures of state police cruisers and led someone to put underwear over his dog's head. This caused several members to begin masturbating to music with some vegetables.

Somehow it ended up with a dolphin playing chess with a toad in a public park as an impotent dog looked on. What's so hard about that?

Posted by: Foxracingmtnridr

Well Underdog is a fan of hogs in his mouth preferably Bens Hog so he looked on google for Hog Massachusetts and it said Do You Mean pig massachusetts and he clicked on that and then saw this site and looked at it.

So he just happened to hop onto this site by accident just looking to Fellate a man named Ben (who herks and jerks uncotrollably.)
