Just wondering how long after you complete the firearm safety course are you eligible to apply for your License to Carry. Do you have to wait for the certificate to come in the mail from the safety course or is it given the night you complete the course? Im assuming you have to wait for your certificate before you can apply for the LTC correct? Thanks for your help.

the place i went to up in lowell gives you the certificate that night and you can go and aply when ever after that. it only took me a week for it to come in after i aplied for the LTC

You'll get ur certificate before you leave (assuming u pass the course), then u can go to the PD and apply for ur LTC.

You will receive your Certificate from the instructor, which you will need to take to your local P.D. to apply for your LTC. You will also have to bring 2 passport size photos also with you to the P.D. The turn around time is usually around 3-5 weeks, but if your lucky you may get it sooner. Just an FYI, completing the course does not guarantee your LTC it is "At the Chiefs Discretion". Goto love MASS.
