A Concord inmate crashed a party near the prison this weekend ripping off unsuspecting guests for about $210 in cash and then ran back to his lock up. But the footprints he left behind in the snow have police poised to make an arrest. Police say the quick-escape con cleaned out pocketbooks Sunday night in a Concord home as guests partied in the basement. The suspect then dashed back to the nearby Northeast Correctional Center, a minimum-security prison next to MCI-Concord. “We understand his movements that night all transpired in less than an hour,” said Concord Police Chief Len Wetherbee, who added the convict broke out and returned between head counts. The money has been confiscated and charges are pending.
