NEW BEDFORD — Police seized more than 300 grams of cocaine, four guns and more than $11,000 after the arrest of a man on a warrant Thursday afternoon.
Shane A. Swann, 36, of 349 Belleville Ave. was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police said they saw Mr. Swann leaving his home in a Lincoln Navigator. They stopped him in the area of Belleville Avenue and Coggeshall Street.
Police took Mr. Swann home and executed a search warrant.
Police seized the cocaine, a .38 caliber revolver, two 9 mm semi-automatic guns and one .380 caliber semi-automatic gun, marijuana and $11,340 in cash, along with related paraphernalia.
Police also found four clips for the firearms with more than 10 rounds of ammunition. One of the firearms had an obliterated serial number.
Police also seized the Lincoln SUV.
Mr. Swann was charged with:
Trafficking in more than 200 grams ofcocaine.
Trafficking in cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Four counts of unlawful possession of firearms.
Four counts of unlawful possession of a large-capacity clip.
Unlawful possession of marijuana.
Unlawful possession of ammunition.
Possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Possession of a large-capacity firearm.
Failure to secure a large-capacity firearm.
