Does anybody here now if Bridgewater State College Police Department is hiring, and if they are what type of qualification would you need do you need SSPO or Municipal Police Academy training. thank you.

If you go to BSC Police Website you will see that all police officers attend the full-time municipal police academy. http://www.bridgew.edu/Police/

According to the BSC website they are compiling a list for the police officer position for "anticipated vacancies" in 2006. It's a great job with a great staff!

Excellent place to work, very professional organization and you get the FT municipal academy. And now the administration changed in the last year or so, everything has calmed down.

BSC police is currently putting together a list of applicants for "future openings". Alot has been said about this place over the years and I will say it is an excellent place to work. Don't delay....apply today!

Yeah and when you apply, make sure you don't forget to list all the politicians you know so you can get the job. This does make the difference.

Exactly Pickles. If someone doesn't like you on the department you are screwed. It doesn't matter what your qualifications....it's all political word of mouth.

Bridgewater Campus police like to hire within their Reserve Police Officers. I know they are looking to hire 3 off this posting. And I know of 4 Reserve Police officers that want the full time job. They have to post the job.

Does it help if you you are a Bridgewater graduate?

Posted by: Deputydog522

The info I have is from a Reserve Officer there and he tells me that they will hire from their Reserve Officers. They have to post it under law. Now if the Reserve Officers turn down the offer which I think they wont, then they will go to applications.

I know for a fact that they have turned down interested Reserve Officers before.....so with that place it's not a sure thing. Sometime it depends on if you wear a skirt or if you are something other than a white male.

Is there something wrong with being something besides a white male?
