I like the New Dodge Charger SRT-8 with the 6.1 Hemi but I work to hard for my $$$ to pump it in the tank at the pump. I think lots of PDs are going to wait since they are hearing bad things about the Charger. I heard the HEMIs are losing their power after lots of use and also read about frames bending if you put it through its paces during lateral acceleration Gs. That's not good for Dodge in the police market. I think more PDs are going to wait on the Police Charger until other brave PDs puts them trough their paces for a few years. The new Impala is decent but no V-8 option except for the SS model. I think I am going to buy the new Honda Accord Hybrid as gas prices will go over $3 this summer.

Posted by: dcs2244

I'd rather walk than drive a Japanese car.

I have mixed feelings on the hybrids... reason being is that they are RIDICULOUSLY expensive to fix. Oh yeah... ridiculous. That money that you save at the pump, God bless you if you need a repair out of warranty.

Oh yeah, and the Hemi Charger, is really not that bad on gas. Actually it's pretty good considering all that's under the hood. I'd like to see a rendition of a Charger with the State Police blues on it... i think that would look really cool.

Personally, I would save my pennies for the new Challenger. From the factory it will come with the 6.1, and a 6-speed manual. It will eat C6 Corvettes alive... while they cry...

Yimmy! Don't sell out to the Japs! I'm on board w/Dave-I'd rather drive an old USAF Ford Fairmont 200CI Police Package w/a C-4 Cruise-o-matic than a F(&^%@) Rice burner......

Posted by: SKILMATIC

You would rather drive a 200ci engine that weighs the same amount as a dump truck then a engine with a little less smaller displacement with half the weigth that can basically out run, out maneuver, and out perform, and outlast , and waiste less fuel than your 200ci beast? So tell me mr cruise-o-matic, how about you take your 200ci engine beast to the race track and I will take my crappy jap rice burner 2.0liter peewee car and lets race for pinks! O and I am stock. I will also give you a car length becasue I am a very kind person.

in response to the question if 809 has lights on his POV. Its the whacker mobile. Lights, laptop, you name it. I will take a cruiser if I need lights at a detail. I don't want to be identified as a cop when I am not on duty.

No offense 809 , it is just a little whacked up.

Yeah all japanese cars do is help the enviornment, save fuel, help our economy, more reliable, and are usually pretty reasonably priced. But hey like you said you woudl rather walk. BWAHAHAHAHA

Posted by: Wolfman

Your ricer would never withstand the demands of police work, which doesn't happen 1/4 mile at a time.

My guess is that more rusty tinfoil imports with blown head gaskets are towed like emasciated corpses form the side of the roads than full size, full frame, V8 domestics. But hey, it's your coffin.

How can you use THE cruiser for a detail when the patrol guys are doubled up in it?

And when was the last time you worked a detail???

Posted by: OutOfManyOne

I was at MHQ the other day, lots of MSP 06s unmarked,low-pro and fully marked. I guess all MSP cars are also getting the fire suppression system in them, a nice $2500 option, but its definitely a good thing to have.

Posted by: OutOfManyOne

Is MSP buying any Chargers or Magnums too or just Crown Vics. My PD looked at the Charger but we think its way too overpriced compared to the Crown Vic. No set price has been made available to PDs regarding the Charger and Magnum, but I don't see them selling them for $22K with the Hemi to be in line with Ford. The Impala Police Package Bid Price is around $17K, 5000 cheaper then CV with the same horsepower, however the front wheel drive causes lots of reliability problems.

Posted by: wordstew

Just saw the news about Consumer Reports new car review. Not one of the top listed vehicles was an American car. How long before we see Hyundai cruisers?? (YIKES)

What are folks thoughts on foreign cars as cruisers.

Posted by: tazoez

LOL, if we go foreign I want the new Mazda 6speed. All Wheel Drive Turbo. Those are fun and fast. not too much room for people in the back but I figure as long as im comfortable it's all good .

Posted by: MSP75

If American car makers continue to show no real interest in making an affordable, SAFE, & reliable (long term) cruiser than screw them. Increasingly, "foreign" cars are assembled in the US. They are building plants and hiring american workers. The US companies continue to outsource its manufacturing and employees and shutting down plants. Our money may be going to US company owners, but not the workers. The Foreign company owners get the money, but they are paying American workers and taxes.

The japanese do not build a sport sedan that will out-perform my crummy american car, drag or autocross. BMW does, barely, but it requires that you manually activate the extra horsepower. And, yeah, I'd still rather walk than drive a japanese car...and thereby further help the environment, save even more fuel, and help the "cobbler section" of the market .

To be quite honestly clear. Police work isnt rigorous bud. Pulling over people for minor traffic violations and the occasional police chase isnt RIGOROUS. ITS NOT THAT HARD IF A RICER WAS OUT RUNNING YOU JUST CALL BACK UP. bwahahahaa thats what the radio is for buddy. Not to mention you have access to air surveillence so that the "criminal" wont get away. Not to mention, most of the cars I see on the side of the road are domestics. Have you ever done the demographics of vehciles sir? Because if you did you would know that the civic is the most common car on the road today with the least cars caught dead on the side of the road and least cars towed. You want to know what the number 1 is? FORD! The most reliable US manufactured vehicle which isNOT manufactured in the states is Pontiac! And all of pontiacs and fords are manufactured in japan. I know cause I am a genius thats why. Mazda makes fords engines. So in essence your so called america muscle car is actually a beefed up jap car.

The US as we know it today is sellin itself out to foreign markets. If you had a brain you woudl realize this. The President of the US is sellin our port security to the UAE and you people still think our american muscle cars are still actualy american. Everytime you buy a mustang or a charger etc etc you are only giving money in the japanese foreign markets pockets. The funny thing is when you buy a honda or a toyota you are actually helping out america morethan you tink because stock holders in america own a large % of toyo and honda. Not to mention those cars are better for our economy and enviornmental health. Also they tend to lastlonger and are easier on yor pocket books at the pump.

Polcie duty can be handled with a civic. Its got plenty of room to stuff your barettas and 12gauges in. You can also stick a badguy in their too. Any car can get runned down if you have a lot of police help which you do via rado.

If it was justyou in your cop issued crown vic I WOULD OUTRUN YOU ANYDAY on the roads in my rice burner haha. You would not be able to keep up at all in a car that has so much understeer and oversteer its rediculous. Yeah its nice to rideover speedbumps with but you haveno cance in cathcing me yourself in my car if it wasjustyou and I goin atit.

Yeah they do its called the EVO or in laymans terms for you hicks the mitsubishi lancer evolution. Which is the car I have. Its a 4 door sedan with a 2.0l displacement packing around 290hp and 286pds of tq stock with a weight of arund 3200pds. Its roomy enough to fit a 6ft8in driver an 5people. It can handle turns alot beter than a crown vic. It can outrun c5 vettes and almost any other production car. It is also faster of the line than any production car except for maybe the Ford GT. My evo 9 stock ran a 12.1 at the quarter mile whic is faster tha lambos, ferraris, some vipers, every vette except the c6, etc etc.

O and I almost forgot Toyota makes the IS250 and the IS350. Not to mention you could use the GS300 or the GS430. AND THE IS350 WHICH IS A V6 PACKS MORE HP STOCK THAN THE STOCK mustang gt's even with their bulky gas guzzling 4.6l V8 which only produces 270whp. Hell my 2.0l engine makes more power than that haha

This just shows how ignorant you are. First off type R is only a jdm byproduct. The US does NOT I REPEAT does NOT import the type R trim cars here. They are known as gsr or si. Now of course you always see the little icons on the back of ricers cars but those people are posing idiots. NOT TO MENTION ALL THEY ARE RUNING IS A INTAKE AND EXHAUST.

Also type r isnt theonly thing that is jap. Did yo even readmy post or wre you too idiotic to even read it?

Well let me spell it out for you again. Your little crown vic or mustang is a JAPANESE PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAZDA makes fords engines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I wonder how many crown vics I could pull up that have been destroyed via chasses and other things? How much you wantt bet I could find more? Also I will admit this cars got too much power that alot of people cant handle. Andit is dangerous.

However, I KEEP TELLING YOU THE TRUTH AND REAL PROOF AND ALL YOU KEEP DOING IS making the forum less intelligent than we were before with your crappy posts that make no sense.

Looks like someone was EVOwned in that picture...

Evo's have a fantastic drivetrain, very powerful, quick, and functional with the AWD... I like the concept, but they have got to be one of the friggin UGLIEST cars on the road, and they depreciate rather quickly for what they are.

And yes, they did import a type R to the states, it was called the Integra Type R, as well as the GSR, the GS, and the LS models.

Mazda may produce engines for Ford, but it is Ford Motor Company, an American company, that is the parent company owning Mazda, Jaguar, Lincoln and Mercury. Mazda is no longer a Japanese car as it traditionally has been, just like Saab is no longer a Swedish car as General Motors has bought them as well. So if what you say is true, about Mazda manufacturing engines for Fords, then so be it, but in reality, it's Ford delegating which plant will produce the motors for their cars. I have a feeling the Triton engines and the SVT engines are produced elsewhere though... Acquisitions and mergers...

These guys don't need faster cars, or better handling cars than yours, know why? Nothing is faster than a Motorola...

Posted by: Wolfman

You're making the forum less intelligent with your barbaric slaughter of the English language. Perhaps if you had spent more time listening to your spelling and vocabulary lessons during your 6 years of junior high school instead of sneaking off to the boys room to pop zits your scribblings would be more understandable and lucid. But I digress. There's more fun afoot.

You went on a ridealong with a real live cop? Holy cow! Stand by, I think I just creamed myself. Gotta change my shorts.

There's this kid in Marlboro you HAVE to meet...

Posted by: wordstew

I have driven the EVO and was impressed. I personally think they are ass ugly but I don't see too many cars out running it on a straight away or on the twisties.

The Evo would definitely leave the Harley Police bikes in the dust. However, I don't see the EVO out-running a performance bike under any circumstance. That being said, no matter what you got you aint gonna out-run a radio.

2 local men injured in 495 crash
By Michael Sereda / Daily News Staff
Saturday, February 25, 2006

E-mail article View text version View most popular HOPKINTON -- Two local men were seriously injured last night when the car they were riding in ripped apart after hitting a rock wall along Interstate 495, not far from the West Main Street exit, according to state police.
Marc W. Gildersleeve, 22, of Milford, and Kevin C. David, 24, of Bellingham, were taken by ambulance to UMass Medical Center in Worcester following the 7:04 p.m. crash, according to Trooper Kara England.
Their conditions were not immediately available last night, but David was apparently not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, she said.
According to England, Gildersleeve was traveling south in a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer when it hit a rock wall in the median. The impact tore the car apart and propelled the engine across the highway where it hit a 2002 Mazda Protege driven by Candice J. Silva, 25, of Southbridge.
Silva’s heavily damaged car was towed but she was uninjured, England said.
State police are still investigating, but speed appears to be a factor in the crash, she said.
Traffic was slowed as police closed the left travel lane for about an hour. By 8 p.m., the road was clear, England said.
Stupidity would appear to be a bigger factor.

Skilmatic, I was not talking about CV or Mustang: how about 0-60 in 4.3 sec and 1/4 mile under 13 sec...with a top end of 173 mph...I'm sure your little ricer could keep up all day long! I don't recall any Mitsubishis at Lemans...I think their last big win was at Pearl Harbor...

It could be true that Mitsubishi makes a pretty good car...too bad nobody will buy them. Mitsubishi...the "Crosley" of Japan! Don't worry, though, I reckon they can retool the lines at their Normal, IL, plant to produce refrigerators, televisions...and canned tuna. That way american workers can earn some sort of living.

Have no fear...you'll be able to purchase your next EVO...through your local Corgi dealer.

On the contrary the EVO 9 stock puts down low 12's consistently with no problem. The evo 9 has a top speed of around 170-175 stock. 0-60ft times in around 1.7-1.9sec. Your right you wouldnt keep up buddy. And the zero at the time was far better than the Thunderbolts. Actually the only plane that could out do the zero wasnt until the good ole boys came up with the Mustang. That plane kicked a$$ in every shape and form. Too bad the car sucks.

Le mans is a different story. Ford only won a few times with their gt-40. Which IMO was a fantastic car. However, it only proved itself for a couple years and ferrari was back where it was. Ford actually hired some ferrari guys to help with the gt-40 project and Ford said they dont care how much it costs they want to beat ferrari for once. Hence the reason they came up with the most revered car whch is the ford gt-40. Now of course mitsu hasnt had any le mans victories but neither does alot of other car manufactureres. And a matter of fact last time I checked no america car company ever won in a JGTC race. This goes both ways buddy.

Your so ignorant its not even funny. A lancer is not the same as an evolution. A evo is a totally different vehicle. Please edumacate yourself on these things before you spew your utter idiocy.

Posted by: SKILMATIC

Also the evo is a much more entising vehicle than a crown vic. O and corgi is a british owned company. Also american workers will be out of employment the rate our politicians are going. Lets just sell out all of our jobs to foreign markets why dont we? There was a time in my grandfathers day where we were totally independant of ourselves and we needed no one to survive. Now if china decides to not do business with us or japan we are literally screwed! We import far more than we export. Our president who is an embicile is selling our port securty to the UAE(United Arab Emerates) which is a huge supporter of terrorism. Maybe you had better think twice what and why you are policing this nation. And who do you work for? Also it would be a huge catastrophe to see an entire major city in the US wiped off the face of the map not ot mention all the great police officers in it. But hey you guys for some reason think your american products are actually american. I wish they were to tell you the truth but this isnt the case. The world is now runned by rich people trying to save a buck and the easiest way to do that is get cheap labor. I think the pcms for the newer domestics are made in taiwan. I remember seeing something like that when I looked on my dads 05GT mustang.

Sorry, Skilmatic, I'm talking 2005, as that is what my Caddy is. For 2005, according to Automobile Magazine, the EVO available is the VIII: 0-60 in "just under 5.0 sec; 1/4 mile in 13.8 sec; top speed, 155 MPH. It does have better lateral road holding, 0.97-0.99, than my Caddy (0.92). But remember, the EVO is all-wheel-drive and turbo charged. The Caddy is just a V8 and rear wheel drive, with a better F-R weight ratio.

And for the record, by the end of the war, the Zero was out performed by not only the P-51 Mustang, but the F-4 Corsair and the P-47 Lightning. As I recall, the home islands were bombed back into the stone age. Thank the soviets that you have a ricer to drive, because except for the 'cold war', Japan would be a third world country.

Now, if you have the latest stock version of the EVO, I'll shut up (until I find the stats on the VIX !). I actually own the vehicle I am talking about...how about putting the STS-V or BMW M5 up against your little rally car...that is if we are going to talk 'fantasy racing'?

As far as your 0-60 times of 1.7-1.9 seconds...please. That acceleration factor or rate is untenable. It would require a factor of 1.6058...or a rate of 51.7067 feet/sec/sec.
Unlikely to happen in Newton's universe.

That was the most thought filled post I have heard yet on this form. It was full of interesting info and it was full of factual support. I thank you for being educated sir. Now only if we ca get the rest of these morons to open a book we will be doing good.

Also to your concern I DO OWN A EVO 9 it is still stock at this point. You can call SOUTH COAST MITSU and talk to MARK MECADO, hell he will even get you a great deal on one if youd like to trade that bulky caddy for a real performance car. However, I DO LIKE THE STS'S and the cts. Now the evo 8 that you were reading about doesnt have mivec. And the evo 9 has a larger hotside and a better impeller shaft.

It's time for the trump:

Hey, are you the same SKILMATIC who is...

BANNED from the Supra forums?

Hey guys lets all register for the forum and post whore itup about how much japanese cars eat their dodge hemis all day hahahahaha. I remember racing c5 vett I ended up sending it home all day after beating him by an entire second.

Hey I just posted another post against one of the mods. The mod there posted this "I would rather walk then drive a japanese car. "

Yeah I am trying to educate these idiots. Its hard when they are a bunch of retards.
..where you seem to be building all kinds of favor with your EVO peers:
Quote:
Come on man, you are trying to instegate a silly argument and you are coming off as a juvenile. If you wanted to "educate those idiots"... don't tell them that our evo's have a top speed of 175 mph. They are fast but not that fast stock. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't try to start an argument over on a cop forum. You are doing more harm than good even if it's a silly little cop talk forum. You might as well stand at a street corner and wait on some Evo's with some huge stickers in hand that say "HEY COP, MY CAR WILL OUTRUN YOU PIECE OF CRAP, TEE HEE HEEE" while you yourself are jumping up and down and laughing with all kinds of excitement.

Come on my man, settle down. There's no sense in starting a silly argument with a bunch of cop wannabe's and actual cops. I feel a little embarrassed that I read that thread.

Yeah, that idiot who said that 12.1 stock time came from our forum.

YOU ARE SO OWNED!!!!!

Let's all give SKILMATIC the respect he deserves, NONE, and stop replying to his posts. He has nothing even close to useful/thoughtful information. I'm sure some day one of the officers will meet this bonehead in person, while they're putting him in the back of a cruiser with a nice pair of shiny bracelets. Give it up SKILMATIC, you're time here is not only useless but pathetic. I honestly pity you if you have nothing better to do with your time than to start these idiotic fights on message boards. Once again, let's all put an end to this and stop replying, we're only fueling the fire.

BWAHAHAHHA you guys are some of the most pathetic individuals I know. You had to look up my name on other forums and sites to dig up dirt on me cause you just couldnt hang with this argument here. Well guess what you yet failed again. The only thing true there is that saturn just happens to be may car which is also faster than my evo and is also faster than your pathetic charger that you love so much.

A matter of fact I offered a guy who had a somehwat modded evo to race for slips and I woudl give him a car length and he backed down. However, I do own a coupel of supras but never joined any supra site. That is someone else. Amatter of fact if you were also intelligent you would have checked some saturn forums as well. However, someone already used my name on some saturn forums which is why I had to create another name which is turbojuiced96sc2 which is on saturnmotorsports.com. A matter of fact if you want to check me out on every forum there you go thats it. O and I ma also on a political debate forum called politicalshootout.com.

Yeah I am sure they will do this when I am doing the speedlimit. I know the procedures and the law. I dont speed on the road only at the race track. However, I wouldnt mind some cop beating me into a police cruiser and giving me some beautiful bracelts cause suing goes along way here in cali. And I would love to get some mod money for my evo. A days worth of pain is worth a lifetime of luxury. But then again if I sue the department then that will only jeopardize the safety and security of my fellow neighbors becasue the department will have to cut back on things.

You sad little boy. Your peer group on the evo site think you are as pathetic as we do here. You are an embarrassment to them. They think you are an idiot and have come right out and said it. You allegedly own a couple of Supras, an evo, that piece of crap Saturn on blocks in your Mom's garage...I suppose you have a house in the Hamptons and a Learjet on standby at LAX? Go home and play with your American-made Saturn, we have grownup things to do around here.

You lose, Roger. Don't let the door kick you in the ass on the way out. You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have most assuredly been found wanting.

Wolfman said it right.=D> =D> =D>

Why don't you do something useful with your life, here is an idea go join the military and try spouting your sh** over there. We have "special" ways of dealing with people like you. I bet you favorite line is "I'm calling my lawyer" or "I'm calling my mommy or daddy". Some of us come on this forum for help in our jobs and other useful reasons. So go back to living your "Cali" lifestyle, and one day when you want to grow up and have a "grown up" discussion come on back.

I get the strong since that you guys don't like Imports. LOL As the driver of an 06 Mitsubishi Evo IX, it's nice to know that Im profiled just because of the car I drive. BTW Im 26 and have a spot less record and only do my fun on a track, so don't try to patronize me on how im a stupid ricer. Oh, and I served 5 years in the MC so keep you patriot card in your pocket.

But anyway, thanks guys for serving and protecting!

Cops don't profile cars.

Cops profile assholes.

Get a lot of tickets, do you?

No sir, no tickets here. But I do notice the looks I get from local cops in town. But Im stock, and Im not speeding so it doesnt' bother me much. My X50 picks up most of them before I even get close, sneeky, sneeky cops lol.

The joining the military post was directed at a certain poster (wise ass kid from cali). Thanks for your service. As to police officers looking at you when you drive by, unfortunately for you a lot of people who drive "sports cars" tend to drive like they where on a race track when in fact they are not. If you drive fine and don't break the law then you will be just fine. I wouldn't say that anyone on here is saying that they profile certain vehicles as much as they where talking about if a "ricer" could out run a Crown Vic.

SKILMATIC is a known 17 y.o. assclown and major troll on Evolutionm.net You'll do youself a big favor by banning him from this site. There is nothing in his posts that will add to this community...just insults and immature comments. The guy has no life aside from automotive forums. The only reason he posted on this forum is because someone on EvoM was referring to this thread.

Posted by: Wolfman

If you have a flash car, you'll get looks from everyone, not just cops. That's one of the reasons for having it, no? Unfortunately the CPA who drove by and noticed your ride can't eventually give you a ticket, he'll just keep going on his way so you won't take notice of him. A cop is different - not only will he notice you, since his attention is already drawn, any thing wrong about your vehicle or operation will be even more apparent. So I really can't see why people bitch due to some perception of being singled out. Ask the cops on this board, I'm sure they write thousands of tickets a year and really don't have the time nor the inclination to pick on someone just minding their own business.

If you have a distinctive car you will be noticed.
If you have a distinctive car and you're doing something wrong, this will compound your noticeability. It may seem like an insignificant infraction to you, but it's still an infraction.
If you want to blend, buy a stock Camry.

I was actually refering to another post on your site where a couple of guys went off on another guy with an STI about not being a partiot because he didn't buy a domestic car. I really don't think it was fair to brand him a trader to his country because he bought an import.
Anyway.....It is however unfortuantly that the age braket that owns these cars ruins it for the rest of us that keep our fun on the track. It relly pisses me off when Im cruisin through town with my family and some kid pulls up next to me at a light or something and starts reving. All I keep thinking is that there is a cop watching Im gonna get slammed for street racing/intent to race, or whatever he whats to nail me for and Im not even doing anything! Not to mention it raises my insurance rates! I also live in Cali and I work with alot of older guy that have cars..(Supra, S2000, 350Z, GTO) and we're always worried when we go out together because the cops have gotten so strict in Southern Cali. I've heard...now I emphisize "heard" that if you are sitting together in a parking lot just talking cars or whatever, you can get a ticket for "intent to race." That's crazy. But I have to believe that age plays a big part in that. I doubt a cop is going to give much attention to a group of middle aged guys with performance cars that are just out with their families for dinner or something.

Oh well, price of owning an Evo I guess. Personally I would have bought a Z06 but there's no room for a car seat.

Thanks again for what you guys are doing!

And skilmatic, you drive a saturn? That is a fine car if you want an economy car, but for a so-called tuner enthusiast, thats pathetic. You drive a saturn bro.. lol. I'm laughing at you right now. Chicks dig guys in saturns....NOT! I bet you pick up all the grannies at the nursing home in that. I bet it has all the accessories like windows, a steering wheel, hell, it might be fully loaded and have a cassette player. Any of us on this board could afford the crap you supposedly own, we choose not to. So we are not impressed that you allegedly own this car and beat this guy, etc.... WE DON'T CARE. Go to a board full of 14 year old girls that might actually be impressed with this. We are educated adults who don't blow their wad at some young punk "Bragging" that he has an EVO. (AND A SATURN LOL).

somebody please ban skilmatic. He is just spewing insults to try to crank us up and make us lose our cool. He obviously is a Moron, just look at his posts.

Posted by: JFSMSP

If I did some of the things in my 350z that I do in my crown vic I would see wheels passing by me and nothing but a shower of sparks. Gotta love the crown vic for its balls and reliability, but for aesthetics I went with the ricer

I have a 1600hp turbo-charged nitro fed '92 Geo Storm. It's fast because I have a Type-R sticker on the back, a huge wing, and I mean a HUGE wing...

When cops chase me, I usually just push her up to 88 mph, and pick what year I want to go visit...

Maybe this kid should go to a Ferrari or Lamborghini forum and talk about how wicked cool his Mitsubishi is... then he can get laughed all the way back to chess club... again.

12.1 1/4 mile my ass...

at least there are some people on that evo forums with some sense. Alot of them are telling him to shut up. I would post there but I am not a 17 year old delusional idiot and don't want to waste my time arguing with a half brain. They will probably put him in his place over there.

Posted by: Steiner

I apologize if somebody already beat me to the punch on this. I honestly didn't have the energy to make it through the whole thread once it started going downhill. As an Evo owner myself, it was really embarrasing and somewhat painfull. As most of the adults can imagine, SKILMATIC is more or less the village idiot on the Evo forums. Lots of people have simply added him to their "ignore" list because it's a waste time to read what he writes or try to have a normal conversation with him. There's usually one or two in every forum.

That being said, the overwhelming majority of Evo owners are into fast cars first, and Evos second. The overwhelming majority of Evo owners on EvoM are adamantly opposed to street racing or posts glorifying the subject. The moderators see to that as well. We also have a significant number of members who come from a law enforcement and/or military background. Don't mistake the ramblings of one bad apple as anything more than exactly that.

Posted by: Wolfman

Believe me, it's pretty apparent what kind of nitiwt Roger (SKILMATIC) is...however the nature of many on this site (and in police work in general) is a ball-busting nature, and when some ripe target like Roger shows up, let loose the hounds!!! Same goes with the Mensa guy with the clever and cryptic "Bacon" refernce in his Masscops name - I certainly wouldn't go register on the Evo forum with a name like IMaL_oservir_GInw_hOLIv_esat_HOMEWI_thMom ... although opinions may differ I would not show your entire community such contempt and disrespect on your home turf.

While I am a dyed in the wool small-block-Chevy guy (still miss my 67 Camaro) I have a great appreciation for a well-crafted automobile. The performance of some of the cars today still amazes me, from the Evo's to the WRX, to the Dodge hemi's and Marauder...but ultimately I have to be true to my roots and as such, I keep a supply of ricer comments close at hand.

..and that said, I go back to where this all started: While Evos and WRXs etc. are well-crafted and fast, they do not have what it takes for all the aspects of police work, and thus would not make a suitable patrol car.
