The Town of Boxborough is currently accepting applications for Full Time and Part Time Public Safety Dispatchers. Boxborough is located 28 miles west of Boston on route 495 in Middlesex County. The Boxborough Public Safety Dispatch serves a residential community population of 5800 which doubles during the day with local industry.
The Boxborough Public Safety Dispatch is comprised of four Full Time Dispatchers; and several Part Time Dispatchers. We are committed to training and professional development. Such courses include E911, Power Phone, APCO, Emergency Medical Dispatch, and other critical incident courses.
Benefits: Rotating schedule, salary range is $14.97 to $17.77/hr, 11 holidays (pay or leave), 3 personal days, 10 vacation days, health insurance (towns share: 90%), uniforms, sick time and many other benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must posses a valid drivers license, US citizen, at least 21YOA, high school diploma or equivalent, be free of any disability which could prevent them from performing all the essential job functions of a Public Safety Dispatcher, applicants must pass a thorough background investigation. Applicants should have strong communication skills and be willing to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Experience is preferred but not required
