The Provincetown Police Department is now accepting employment applications for the 2006 summer season for the positions of Summer Police Officer and Summer Dispatcher.
Requirements for Summer Police Officers include:
High School Graduate
Massachusetts Reserve Intermittent Police Academy Certification
Current CPR and First Responder Certification
Current Firearms Qualification is also desired, but not required
Requirements for Summer Dispatchers include:
High School Graduate
Any prior telecommunications experience preferred
Current CPR Certification also desirable
These are 40 hour/week (5 on/2 off) positions on a variety of different schedules.
Current rates of pay are: $15.63 per hour for Summer Police Officers and $14.46 per hour for Summer Dispatchers.
