What would be considered a fair price for a Colt Government Mark IV Series 80 , nickel .380 automatic????

You must be referring to the "Pocket Lite" or "Mustang" prices should be between 350-600. Check gunbroker.com or gunsamerica.com for auction prices.

Just a wild guess but being a Colt, it's not going to be Mass compliant. So who knows what that does to its value.

Thanks for the websites. Its actually a Government model series 80, not the mustang or pocketlite.

Thus, GA, GunBroker or other site will give you a decent picture of current pricing.

Looks like a mustang to me. Definately not a government 1911. 1911 are only available in .38 Super, .45 ACP, 10mm and a rare 9mm from Colt.
