Those pictures have been around for a few years. I really don't expect too much from Ford, unless Dodge starts giving them a run for their money.

That was supposed to be the 2005 or 2006 CVPI. So i think this is just a twinkle in fords minds.

yeah thats what i thought to but know ford is saying they plan on doing it ford 2009 i would like to see it sooner than then i like the present crown vic but is getting old the only change something minor each year its basicly been the same vehical since 1998

Ford really doesn't make all that much on selling vehicles to police departments. They sell them at a minimal profit and do so more for the promotional value than anything else. That's why Chevy dropped the Caprice which I always thought was a better vehicle for law enforcement. By the time we put a cage in the Crown Vic there was all of six inches of leg room.
I'd be interested to see how Dodge makes out with their entries. I always liked the Coronets with the 440's in my early days.

Well there a rumors that it will be the 2009 crown victoria but some people are saying it will be the 2007 crown victoria so we will just have to wait and see but its defiantly time for a makeover
