Do any agencies out there have a department program/general order/policy that allows sworn officers' personally owned patrol rifles to be carried/utilized on duty?

Seekonk PD did or does, last time I spoke to a guy I know on that dept about 8 months ago he had his own AR-15 that he carried in the trunk of his cruiser.

In Harwich you can carry your own (personally owned) rifle on Patrol, once you have qual'd with it. A couple of guys bring in their own AR's

Our department did a few years back when myself and another officer were on CEMLEC. It was more like a general order, not a policy specific to both of us only for CEMLEC. This was because we did not have any patrol rifles within the department, but now we do.
