Suffolk University Police - Security Officer

Security Officer, University Police

Responsible for providing security at any University property. Duties include maintaining a fixed post, answering telephones, performing interior building checks, assisting callers and visitors, responding to calls for assistance, providing medical attention, detaining offenders of University security and safety policies, and writing reports. Requires high school diploma, or G.E.D. excellent interpersonal; skills, and the ability to work well with a diverse population. Must be 18 years or older. Previous security experience, CPR, and/or first aid helpful. Three letters of recommendation must be submitted with application. Uniform position works 40 hours per week. A criminal check will be conducted for applicants selected for interview. Salary is $13.30 per hour.

To apply you must go to 1 Beacon street I believe the 25th floor and pick up a application. you may also be able to get them in the lobby. i currently do work study believe and all the guys are great to work with. not a bad job you can easily move up to an police position if you keep out of trouble and the chief likes you.

Alright thanks..i am currently a student at suffolk so i dont know if they will hire me due to a conflict of interest so to speak. I might give it a shot though thanks for the info.
