Is New Years Celebration Over Rated?

What do you think? Is New Years celebration over rated?

I think so. To me it will just be another day in a messed up world. When you think about it what is a year? It is only approximately 365 days or 8,765.81277 hours, or 525,948.766 minutes or 31,556,926 seconds... Think of how long we can date back the history of the Earth. Does a year really sound that big when we look the age of time as far as we can recall? Ok I am done I was going to go somewhere with this but I lost myself

Like almost every other holiday, New Years has become just another excuse for people to get pissy-pants drunk, and act like a jackass.

The only good thing about New Years is it's the only holiday that......

A) You don't have to by gifts for anyone
B) You don't have to send cards to anyone
C) It hasn't fallen victim to commercialization because of both A and B

Amateur Night. It's lost all it's appeal for me in terms of me going out and celebrating.

I must be getting old. I refuse to stay up after 10:00 unless I am getting paid for it. Especially if it is cold out.

Why go out, when you can just get pissy drunk at home in your comfy jammies. Right Dunny?!?!

ACDC Jammies

New Years Eve lost most of it's appeal once I settled down with a family. I am looking forward to the entertainment tonight as people head home from their parties. Snow + alcohol usually make for an interesting night.

My philosophy is more like why get pissy drunk on New Year's Eve when I can do that any night of the week at home in my comfy AC/DC jammies (although I haven't gotten pissy drunk in a loooooooooong time, at home or away, jammies or otherwise).

I'd rather work (which is part of my regularly scheduled programming for tonight anyway).

However, for those of you who are going out tonight, have a great time and be safe!
