I went to one of his legal update seminars about a month ago. Scheft presents tons of great info and he keeps the audience engaged. Any Campus Police Officer that has the opportunity should definitely make an effort to sit in on one of these seminars.

John did a similar seminar at Umass/Amherst a few months ago.
He hits all the key points, and is usually open to questions off the subject. He has a wealth of knowledge (as most know) and has a good approach to teaching it.
I'm sorry to say I missed it. It would have been nice to get some good reliable updates and rub elbows with some of my collegues from the campus field!
I was lucky enough to attend. It was pretty informative. Scheft is a great instructor who really has a knack for explaining things on the most basic level as opposed to some instructors who feel the need to muddy the waters with all kinds of legal mumbo jumbo.
I've been to two of his seminars. Definately easy to sit through... but he certainly doesn't even come close to covering the information that he puts on his flyer. I think he tries to bite off more than he can chew for a one day seminar.
